I have recently been diagnosed with adenomyosis on top of endometriosis. I am 42 and was first diagnosed with endo 10 years ago and had 4 laps in that time. What treatment have you been offered? I have just started the mini-pill after a recent laparoscopy where they excised two endometrioma cysts from both ovaries and discovered what looks like adenomyosis at the same time. I am trying my best to avoid a hysterectomy, I suppose I just have to see what happens. It's great to be able to connect with people in a similar situation, my friends and family are very supportive and understanding but they can't relate to it. I am happy to be contacted by you as someone to talk to. I wrote this poem about endo which ends 'We are not alone' and I do think it has helped me a lot to realise that.

Hi, I was diagnosed with adenomyosis about 8 years ago. I also have severe endometriosis. I had 3 lap surgencies in the past. I am in a lot pain every month, mostly because of adenomyosis. I am trying to complete my family.( I hope) . next step will be mirena coil or hysterectomy.
