Hi girls today I had my lap finally after nearly 4 years of pain thinking I was going mad with all these symptons, endo was removed from my womb right ligaments and pod, I came around from surgery very well and went home within a few hours. I'm feeling very sore and tender but no shoulder pain as yet, does this come at a later time? I have a follow up with my consultant in 6 weeks time.
Lap day today, endo confirmed.: Hi girls... - Endometriosis UK
Lap day today, endo confirmed.
So glad it all went well . I had lap 2 weeks ago and I didn't get any shoulder pain. I know it hurts but just make sure you move around and sit upright as much as possible I really felt the gas travelling in my lungs but it wasn't bad at all. Xx
I've been moving around and just had some tea, no shoulder pain yet though. I opted for a helium treatment which is a trial run they are doing at my hospital apparently it has fewer side effects but I also has some cut away too, hope your feeling better too lovely xx
Wow that sounds interesting. Sounds like your hospital is better than mine my follow up isn't until February!!!!
Another good tip is get some windeze tablets they seemed to help me.
You'll be really really sore the first couple of days and feel like you've been beaten up but it does get better again just try and keep moving.
Also make sure you keep your wounds uncovered as much as possible take the plasters off as soon as you can, I made the mistake of re covering them which meant they took ages to heal.
I slept so much during the first week and I could literally fall asleep into a deep sleep in minutes so don't be surprised if that happens!!!
First steps to a new pain free life for now for us onward and upwards!!
I didn't sleep a bit last night before the op I was so nervous incase they wouldn't find anything, tonight I don't know what to do with myself I'm either nodding off or just keep wondering about I so feel like I've been Beaton up. They told me to keep the winds covered up for 2 days we're you glued instead of stitched xx
I was stitched too but I was in hospital for 2 days and had them covered both days so that makes sense! Take them off as soon as you can it doesn't look pretty but it will help them to heal faster. I barely slept the night before for the same reason. I think most girls biggest worry is they won't find anything, when I was on the ward after I woke up 2 girls came up after me and the consultant told them they hadn't found anything I felt really sorry for them. It's so bittersweet to be diagnosed.
Oh Hun thanks for that, I feel really good this morning that little bit of sleep has really helped me I feel quite good this morning but not as bloated as I thought I would be, pain on just the right side. I'm going to leave them on today and take them off tomorrow, they look so bruised 😢😢 can't imagine what them girls must feel like when the don't find anything, I was so excitable in recovery when she was showing me, bet they thought I was nuts 😂😂

My shoulders started hurting the day after...I'm sorry but it's an awful feeling hope you have a quick recovery x
Pleased for you x. I'm awaiting MRI stage with lap looking a pretty unavoidable next port of call
