Wrong words

hi ladies,

I was just wondering if any of you have had any trouble saying the right words since you have been ill? I keep finding myself being corrected by others "you mean frozen, not melted" etc.

this hasn't really happened to me before. Do you think it's worth mentioning to my GP? It's worrying me a bit.

thanks

Me 😫 I am forever getting my words mixed up or have to stop a sentence mid way cause I can't get the word out or say the wrong word. It's very embarrassing 😳 I put it down to fatigue x

Yes, I think it's part of the brain fog which is common with endo

Yes, I get this too and didnt think to put it down to the endo! I'm always stumbling on my words and have to start again! I think it must be the exhaustion maybe... X

Yes definitely I was a high achiever academically in law and economics before this and now I struggle to form sentences some days at first I put it down to my meds but I've stopped taking them this last week and no improvement in this area at all xx

Yep, I have two degrees and am currently trying to retrain as an accountant which is proving almost impossible. My memory's nowhere near as good as it was, nor is my command of English!

I too believe it's the fatigue. I walk around most days feeling the same way I did when my daughter was tiny and I was sleep deprived but even when I get a lot of sleep and it makes zero difference.

Am trying to laugh at myself and not get too upset when I look/feel 'a bit thick'.

I gave up my PhD for the very same reason!!! Even though I was physically tired I found it equally as difficult to get my mind to function properly x

Ugh yes I badly finished my masters because of my brain fog getting so bad in the last year. So discouraging.

Oh weird - I also have this or where my brain just doesn't seem to focus properly. I thought it was just me and being close to 40?! Is it really a symptom of endometriosis then?!!

Yes I've noticed this especially when I'm in pain.

thank you for all your responses. I'm not happy that we all have this issue, but I am glad I'm not alone.
