Has anyone ever been diagnosed with a 'stump'? It is a Stromal Tumour with Uncertain Malignant Potential. I had one remopved from my womb in November 2015 . The lump was benign. But apparently as 'Stumps' could become cancerous I will be having a full hysterectomy this coming Weds. I'm 42 by the way and I've had severe endo and fibroids.
I have looked on lined for stumps and they seem rare and there isn't much info out there at all especially from women who have had them and how they were treated. I am comefortable about having a hysterectomy as I know it is for the best. But I am not sure whterh to have my ovaries removed - and if I kept them if cancer could be spread through them. Also if anyone has been diagnosed have they had to had follow ups/check ups after the surgery to ensure cancer hadn't developed.
Thanks!

Hi I can't help the 'stump' issue but wanted to wish you luck for Wednesday. Me personally I would have ovaries out if there was any chance of cancer. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of both tubes and ovaries on 3rd March along with excision, so I know what it's like to make that decision. Do what is right for you. Good luck..
