Newbie! Diagnosed today with Endometriosis.

Hi guys. Went today for gynae appointment regarding cyst on ovaries, after having internal scan I was told I'd Endometriosis, wasn't expecting that at all. My ovaries are very close together although was told that's unusual I'm not sure if it's something to be worried about. Chocolate cysts where also mentioned.

Looking back over the years the diagnosis explains an awful lot which I just thought was bad period pain trying to mange it with pain relief & hot water bottle & being on the sofa for several days.

My iron count is very low & I'm extremely tired needing a nap every day, is anyone else experiencing this? I've decided to try Cerazette to see if that can help pain & flow. I did have a lap nearly 10 years ago for a cyst & have decided not to have another one at the minute as I've read about people needing them regularly & I'd prefer to consider it when I get my review next year.

Can anyone offer any advice please? Sorry for the lengthy post.

Hi. I've had severe stomach pains for several months along with feeling full, being bloated after eating, blood in my urine sample, Vomiting, nausea etc etc etc. I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago and my 5cm cyst on my left ovary had ruptured and gone away. However I went back to my gynocologist last week to tell him that I was still experiencing pains as before. Endometriosis did not show up on the ultrasound but my gynocologist said I might have a mild case of endometriosis in which case it wouldn't show up on the scan. So I'm booked in for a laparoscopy on the 25th April. I don't know what to expect. Never had surgery before. And I'm 22.

Unfortunately, once endometriosis is diagnosed it never goes away fully. You can keep having the surgery to remove it but it will keep coming back. Keep me posted on the next steps for you. Hope everything goes okay for you.
