Who wasn't seen at a BSGE centre ?

Just wandered who has had treatment from a normal gynea and was it successful ?

Hi,

No mine wasn't successful and I wished I'd done it all through specialists. If I had my time again (now I know about specialist centres!) I'd ask for a referral there asap x

I had a general gynae, I'm now 3 months post surgery and have been in agony daily since, I have just booked with a specialist and wish I had pushed for it to start with.

I had treatment from a normal gynea March 2015, OK for 2 months, after that I just deteriated daily, I'm 10x worse than I've ever been, house bound for 11 months and now I've gone private.

really would strongly advise against it! I dismissed everyone going on about 'the list' and not to go to a normal gynea but now I see the importance of a real specialist on the list xx

Thank you guys for the replies. I have my initial gynea appt on 11th March. I'm thinking of going along to see what they say but am going to bring up with them that I am going to ask my GP for referral to bsge centre. I'm currently moving doctors surgery as out the catchment area for mine now. But it's taken 3 years to even get a gynea appt its in my home town so I'm going to go & talk to them. My old gp wouldn't refer me to a bsge centre but hopefully my new one will

I had mine at a general gynae and they were great.
