What sort of pill?

If you're talking contraceptive then cerazette was good for me, my GP authorised 6 months on then 1 off for 2 years. The relief of symptoms was great. But she could only let me do it for 2 years and it took 2 months after finishing it for the pain to return.

If you're talking pain relief then I have tried co-codamol 30/500, but have recently graduated to Trammadol, but still no great relief of pain.

Hope this helps.

I have tried a few contraceptive pills but didn't like the side effects but I feel like I could persevere a bit longer and see if the symptoms subside especially if it's gonna help with the pain X I can get relief with paracetamol and Ib-eprofen or coco damol at night time X How long did it take for cerazette to work for u did u get any side effects ?

It took approx 2 months for me to notice a drop in symptoms, my hubby says it was after 1 month that i appeared less moody and was complaining less about being in pain. in those days I never kept a pain diary so I have to say it was probably somewhere in between.

Hope this helps.

Yes it does I think I can cope with being moody for a month or two ill just warn people X I will mention cerrazette to doc next week . I really do feel like I need to persevere with a pill to see if I can find one that works x

Hi, there isn't really a "best" pill for endo - unfortunately! What seems to help / suit one person doesn't help another, it's a very individual thing. Which pills have you tried so far?

Everyone is different so what works for someone else might not work at all for you. Best to get the GPs advice

Definitely have a chat with your GP about it, but unfortunately many GPs don't really put a lot of thought into which pill they give women.

This is good information about the side effects that can be caused by the different hormones, and has a "pill ladder" table showing how they compare by hormone content. gpnotebook.co.uk/simplepage...

Rigevidon is just a generic version of Microgynon. If you go for another combined pill, it would be better to try one with different hormones in it, cerazette is a "mini pill" which means it is a progesterone only one.
