Severe pain

I really can't cope with the pain I am right now, I know people's first thoughts will be go straight to the hospital but after two really bad experiences where everything went wrong I want to avoid if possible.

For the past 3 weeks I literally cannot control the bleeding, I keep going to the doctors who give me more tablets, I went to the doctors last week for her to turn around and say 'you don't look in pain' I literally burst into tears! The pain in my tummy is so bad I find myself having to lie in bed with a hot water bottle all the time, I can't control how bad it is and I'm constantly crying with pain :( I also have this red burning patch on my tummy (I told my doctor) and they said I was overreacting :( the pain keeps going into my thigh as well which is absolute agony, any help and advice would be greatly appreciated please :)

Make a complaint against the doctor who said that!! Absolutely ridiculous comment! I find that doctors don't believe me as I don't 'look' like I'm in pain due to my high pain threshold which I believe a lot of women with endo have. As for the bleeding you could ask your gp if you could have some Tranexamic acid tablets as these will stop the bleeding. These really helped me when I was bleeding a lot! It doesn't help with the pain but it made me more comfortable. I would also ask your gp to have some stronger pain relief such as co-codamol 30/500, tramadol, naproxen, or even a Butrans patch if you have a lot of pain like myself. Do not take no for an answer, you shouldn't have to live in pain. Doctors should know that a lot of illnesses such as endo don't make you 'look' sick or sore.

Good luck! x

also just a thought on the red burning patch- this could be nerve pain/damage caused by endo in which case something along the lines of amitriptaline will need to be prescribed. (I swear I'm not a doctor, just a girl with a lot of health issues and a nurse for a mother lol!)

I am so sorry you had to experience this, what exactly does being in pain look like?! You should make a complaint. I don't really have any advice on the pain other than I find hot baths help me sometimes when pain killers are not helping. Feel better soon x
