How long do you have to wait before being able to take prostap again, i had it for 6 months and gyno said i need a break to let my bone density get back up, does anyone know if i can have it again and how long between treatment.

Hiya, I think it depends on your medical history e.g. do you have a family history of osteoporosis, etc. If you take a gnrh with the add back hrt than you can technically stay on it for longer than 6 months as the add back hrt helps reduce side effects including bone density loss. I took prostap and the add back hrt tibolone for 11 months. I've read on here that some women have been on it for longer than a year.

I've recently been offered three monthly prostap injections with hrt for long term. Will have bone density scans every two years.

I had prostap for six months last year (monthly injections), which like you was a blessed relief from symptoms. Didn't have any hrt then.

I don't know how much difference to expect between the 3-month compared to 1-month injections, or the add back hrt.
