At a loss?need inspiration?

I am on a path of dealing with this stagnation...anything is possible I may treat it holistically forever more or I may have a laparoscopy....but just know that woman are finding alternatives to deal with this....

Personally I don't really like to see links on this forum to websites of people who are trying to sell stuff - which ultimately this woman 'Melissa' is trying to do, either through flogging her REACH technique, private consultations, book or retreats etc, etc.

I have not read the whole website but there are some dodgey pieces of info on there re endo which are poorly informed.

While I don't disagree that there is obviously a place for taking an holistic approach to health - including endo ... and I do include things like healthy eating, meditation, relaxation in my own life to help symptoms on top of other treatment, I would like to ask Melissa how she feels restoring imbalances and getting in touch with inner feelings would have helped me to treat recto-vaginal endo, ureteral strangulation / dilated kidneys and fully penetrative bowel endo requiring a large bowel resection before the disease ate its way through the rest of my intestines to result in a permanent colostomy or worse. I would like to ask her - but I won't be booking a private consultation with her so that she can charge me for her pearls of wisdom.

People should do whatever they feel helps them to deal with this disease - but they should also be careful who they give their money to.

wow, firstly i didn't even realise she was floggin something, i just thought after seeing the turmoil, pain, consumption and torture this disease causes, with no hope of cure and healing and mostly no quality of life,and a the possibility of being childless...and the never ending saga of more suppressive drugs, invasive butchery etc that i simply thought it could give some people some inspiration as it did for me, i was hoping it would inspire so that we as a suffering women could take some power back. I like to be reminded of alternatives. Endometriosis has robbed me of many years of my life and i certainly do not need to justify by explaining , describing and legitimising my pain, physical, mental emotional and spiritual. I am on a path with this and im not saying its right and i may end up running to western doctors again, but i would like to feel and be myself again, i have researched researc and asked questions, what i have realised is that there is simply no one ENDO fits all we all are completely unique and different in responding to therapies, what works for some may not work for others...

My anger is not really to do with my endo Hope2Heal - obviously we all get frustrated - but having lived with endo for many years (since the age of 11 - pre-diagnosis / early 30's post diagnosis) I have learnt to largely accept the situation and develop some perspective on it, whilst of course constantly working to try and find ways to improve my health.

My anger is to do with people who clearly know very little factually about the disease making money from others - which I believe this woman Melissa to be doing. I would be equally annoyed if it was a medical dr who claimed to be an endo specialist who wasn't, who was setting themselves up in private practice to repeat pointless and possibly damaging surgeries on people. To put it bluntly, I refuse to tolerate bullshiters as I understand just how much harm they can do to women - particularly young or newly diagnosed women - who have the misfortune of having endo.

The vast majority of surgery carried out on endo patients around the world is not sadly carried out by endo specialists performing excision as opposed to other less effective surgical techniques. People often end up on a merry-go-round of surgery after surgery (like Melissa herself) because their surgeons are sometimes just not up to the job. That said, I do not agree either that excision is in itself a cure all for everyone. It was not for me - but then my case was particularly complex. I do believe that endo can persist or reoccur after excision and also that women can continue to have related problems that cause them additional pain. However, I would still argue that on balance, excision is what to seek when you are looking for an appropriately qualified surgeon. Melissa seems to have very limited knowledge on the differences between surgerical techniques.

I suspect Melissa is not a terrible human being. Having now watched a couple of her videos I suspect she is just a poorly informed, slightly deluded person. However, she has creating a business for herself and is taking money off women - all on the basis of their desperation - therefore she is not without blame. Not only that - she is advertising the businesses on her website of other cranks like the Werns. In her interview with them, they claim to have cured a women of severe endo, adhesions and related infertility (with only one fallopian tube which was blocked). By 'cured' I mean they said that after just 1 hr of using their 'technique' on her (external manual manipulation of her adhesions/ organs) she was free of pain and as a result ran off into the sunset to become quickly pregnant. Give me a break!

To anyone reading this, particularly if your endo is making you feel desperate .....as I said in my original post, trying different approaches to achieve improvements is fine (meditation, diet, accupuncture, massage - whatever floats your boat) but please, be really careful who you give your money to and also be careful that their ignorance does not distract you from getting medical help. That's my last word on the subject.

as i said, i didnt even pay attention to the fact she was flogging something ,in the stale air of failure and pain that woman like myself are going through, i simply thought it was a breath of fresh air as in HER STORY not her business, thats all, im not condoning her technique though i see how that can be assumed now. also i did not say your anger stems fro endo...i can tell you are (for whatever reason) very angry.
