Hey everyone, I've been suffering from endometriosis for 10 years now. I'm 26 years old. I've had 4 laparoscopys during this time.
I had the coil put in just under a year ago. It made my periods stop. But I would get these agonising cramps that would come like contractions. I would break into a sweat. That all settled down, but now there coming again. It seems to be if I have sex with my boyfriend, the next day is horrible because I'm in that much pain. I'm constantly tired and have no motivation. I thought the coil had helped, but it seems not. This has been getting me down recently as I find that no one seems to understand my pain. I feel as tho they think it's in my head.
Can anyone relate to this?
Thanks.

I haven't had any treatment for endometriosis but I understand how you feel, Im currently on a 3 month cycle of the pill before having a break. and I just seem to be in constant pain, I have been given codeine but I don't want to keep taking it as it makes me drowsy and unwell in the morning. Im currently in a lot of pain as we speak. I have been to hospital twice in the last twice weeks and I keep getting passed from one person to the next. Noone has a clue what to do. its horrible.
I have not had the marina coil yet but that is my next step. I understand I have very similar symptoms and now people know what it is they just let me get on with it and say surely it can't be that bad!! I know it's hard to explain to people who do not truely understand. I hope you find something that works for you soon!
Thank you Amy. I honestly thought the coil would help me too. Tho the first 3 months were very painful. It eased after that. Having no period is a god send. But the past few months the pain has returned. Maybe it works better for some than others. Wish u luck x
I don't hold out much hope, I have never really responded well to hormones before when I was put on them to control my heavy bleeds they didn't work but I going to try because you never know ☺ thank you, you too x
