I started my period 3 days ago and I havbt bled. I've only bled the morning I started. What is happening? What do I do?

I get periods like that in April I even had 5 days of agony with period pains and all the other symptoms but didn't bleed at all. I stopped the depo provera injection 18 months ago I haven't had a regular cycle since. But as I am 42 it could also be an age thing. If this is the first time this has happened I would ignore it and see what happens next month if not see your GP for advice.
