Loosing old blood?

I am little confused come on my period on Tuesday and it started with fresh blood by Tuesday night I was spotting old blood and still happening I'm in agony with pain but just trying to get on with it any ideas what's happening x

This happens to me if I have a period - I have very irregular periods but when I do have one I seem to start bleeding fresh blood and also dark brown blood that looks old (sorry if thats TMI!!). I have yet to be diagnosed but awaiting GP appt. Have you been diagnosed with endo? It seems that losing old blood at the beginning of a period is a symptom of endo - however there are so many different symptoms it could be anything!! I would inform your GP of this xxx

Has your periods being a bit irregular recently ?

If so it sounds as if your hormones have got slightly confused & has therefore sort of told your body your period wasn't finished.

Depending on how bad the pain is you could maybe try taking some ibuprofen tablets & see how it goes.

It's common with endo to lose brown blood before or after period. I wouldn't get more than 2-3 days red blood, then 4 days of 'mud' as I call it. It's nothing to worry about. Xx
