This tends to flair up terribly once a month and effects my whole body- I have constant aches and pains in my hands, arms, hips, back, legs and feet. The only thing I'm good for is bed. Does anyone have experience of managing this? I'm seeing a physiotherapist next week too.
Thanks x

Hi I also have Fibro and I agree it's excruciating I get majority of my pain in my elbows, hands , my face, hip, leg and lower back. My elbows and hip hurt constantly the rest flare up but generally it's everyday another part of me hurts it's horrid. I am trialling meds at the mo but so far not successful with complete help just slight relief it doesn't help that I have reactions to a lot of the antidepressants used for Fibro treatment.

I hope you feel as well as possible with these two illnesses.
I don't have fibro but I have learnt that it is sometimes concurrent with endo. I don't think one causes the other but similar conditions and factors can give rise to them. One thing I came across that is common to both endo and fibro is magnesium deficiency. This is not a sole cause but a possible contributory factor. Correction of this deficiency is not a cure but may provide some relief.
Doctors have very little training and knowledge of nutrition and its role in health. Remarkable but true. Many of them are more comfortable prescribing drugs that might or might not deal with symptoms while creating additional problems elsewhere in the body. A naturopath would be more useful to consult if you need to get help with this.
Thank u for your messages ladies. It is so great to come to a forum like this and talk to people who are going through similar things! Brownlow- thank you for the suggestion about the magnesium- you're not the first person to mention it and I am willing to try anything!
