Hi there
The fodmop diet as im sure you already know usually gets prescribed by a doctor when ibs is suspected, saying that a lot of endo ladies find it very helpful with the severe bloatinnes some of us suffer with. Have a look at the endo diet online much the same.
Personally I think docs are too quick these days to suggest you cut out major food groups without carrying out any tests first of all to deferment if you are actually intolorent!! It's seems to be the answer to anything these days, whilst it does very much helps with bloatinnes (I tried it) there's no wonder it does as you hardly allowed anything, it is a very difficult diet to follow in my opinion anyway where huge amounts of food and drink is not allowed, I also found that once I eliminated a food group from my diet for example gluten, I actually developed more of an intolerance to it!!
You can maybe try to reduce certain things like bread pasta sugars etc but I personally would not cut them out completely.
I am sure some of the ladies will have more advice on this long debated subject.
Good luck xx
Thanks there's that much info about will have a go at it let you know downloaded the smart app from the university who devised it which has great info on though it was £6-99 but if it helps great anyways all the money from it goes back into there research so don't mind but I will be looking at the endo diet as well just need some relieve from this diarrhoea every month boooo!!!!
! Next time I am coming back as a man
Lol me and you both xx
