My stomach literally looks 6 months pregnant. Is this normal? I always hate doing a lot when on my period becAuse of the agony I am in and light headedness. But tomorrow I have decided I am going to go to zoo for a nice relaxing walk to clear my head x

I got the same. I stopped wearing my jeans (leggins and tights only now) becasue they can fit me in the morning and after few hours I look preganant and I can't even zip them...My periods stopped since I'm on depo provera but the bloating just won't go away:( I had argument with my ex once as he came home with pregancy test - becasue of my usual bloating, nausea and dizziness...:( x

Hi Scolyn, I used to get very bloated, nauseous and had fainting spells, went through no end of pregnancy tests before I found out about the endo, and my periods pretty much disappeared during my bad bouts. It took a very long time to figure out some of the causes, but I get bad IBS when the endo is flared up. I even become lactose intolerant during these phases, which I am not when it is under control, it's mental. It may be worth keeping track of what you are eating/ drinking and times of the month you get bloated, there may be a connection you can control a little better. I know it sucks but the GP's will just recommend meds and I know that always made me worse. A nice walk sounds good, but if your body is in pain you must remember to not over do it, but this does not mean you can't do anything, good luck x

Take a long bath with Epsom Bath salts. It won't be immediate, but it does help reduce bloating xxxx

I get bloated from a few days before my period starts until most of my period goes. It is like 6 month pregnant size every month! I have excluded gluten and a month passed and first period gone, I haven't got bloated stomach so far! However last sunny weekend I had a ice cream from ice cream ban forgetting ice cream cone has wheat in it and few hours later my stomach has got bloated. It wasn't as bad as 6 month old pregnant size but it was painful as probably my adhesion was pulling inside.

You could try gluten free diet for a while and see how it goes. It is the endo diet too anyway. I also had excluded dairy but introduced diary a bit a time now. I get homogenised milk (like Yeo organic or a2 milk) which doesn't give me bloated stomach. Well I usually have soya milk and have cow milk only a bit in my coffee in the morning.

Gluten free diet make me loose weight for the first time! Well only 2kg so far... but I am on Decapeptyl so it could be a miracle!

I hope you had enjoyed a trip to the zoo.

Take care
