Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosis ed with this awful diease. Surgery would be the better option if you are wanting to conceive, I was told once you have surgery and are on the mend it is the best time to conceive as this is when you are at the best as endo tends to regrow again once your periods start. I had my second lap 5 weeks ago which I got a lot of work down, so hopefully after my wedding I will start try an conceive. Hope this helps and wish you all the best! X

Thank you for replying. You have helped thanks you! The only question I do have is I'm getting married this summer, should I get the surgery after I get married or before?

I'm 18 and have just been diagnosed. I had the same question, I did a bit of research on the internet and it seemed to be that all the more recent studies done on endo showed it best not to have the surgey you want to concieve, only to have it to control the pain. There's a few youtube clips that go into more details as to why and things if you just search endometriosis fertility.

For me it really depends on what stage is your endo. if you are still in early stage (1st or 2nd) and without any cyst or something. I suggest you better think again about the surgery. .

I was not told what stage I was at and of right now I don't have any cyst but I have a history of getting them. Would it be best to still not do the surgery?
