Has anyone experienced jaundice during a flare up of endo?

I'm in the middle of my few weeks of pain and today my face went yellow. It's very noticeable because I'm so pale. Anyone had this or know why? I'm worried about my liver now

Hi - jaundice is quite a common symptom for us - they used to recommend Guinness as its full of iron or you could take what gps recommend now - iron supplements

I have never heard of this happening and even though merliin09 has said that it is a common occurrence for her, you should still get it checked by your GP ASAP just to be on the safe side. Good luck x

Do see your Gp to have bloods done.I have experienced serious liver problems due to antibiotics prescribed for endo related infections.Also paracetamol,prescribed freely as add on to stronger painkillers can cause liver damage with long term use.Dont worry as the liver can repair easily as long as the cause is removed ie the drugs causing it.I am seeing a herbalist at moment and she is giving me milk thistle to counteract the effects of all the pain relief and antibiotics I have had over last 3 months.Every time I have an endo flare,up go my liver enzymes.From what I understand from my herbalist,many of us with endo have a problem with stage 2 of liver detoxification.Th e liver detoxes hormones and toxins,so iy makes sense that when endo bad there is way to much oestrogen floating about and it is struggling to get rid of it.Hope that makes sense.
