Endo, reflexology and other complementary therapies. Please share your experiences with me.

Have you used any complementary therapies to ease symptoms of endo? If so what were they and how you feel this helps?

I'm looking to use one and want to know which is best. I'm also interested as I study reflexology and would like to possibly start a research study.

All replies welcome and very much appreciated.

Hiya

I tried Chinese herbal medicine for a while - through a Chinese practitioner who specialised in Endo research. They were the fresh brewed herbs as well (which are as disgusting as everyone says!) and although I think they did help a bit, certainly I felt much better throughout the month, and had more "normal" time, it didn't really help with the pain during the bad part of my cycle. It was so hugely expensive I couldn't afford to keep going with it though.

I've never tried reflexology, although it's something I've been interested in for a while! Let us know how your studies go...

Thank you for your input, I'm happy to hear of all experiences good or bad.

Just to clear something up, I'm looking at alternative/complementary therapies that can be used along side conventional medical practises. I'm interested in how it can ease symptoms. I'm not suggesting they can cure this disease.

I'm sorry to hear you've had such terrible experiences through having this disease, I to have it and can sympathise with a lot.

I wish you luck for the future.

Many thanks
