Have you looked in to MEA (microwave endometrial ablation) to try and stop the periods. It may not stop them completely by could really help stem the flow.

It basically cooks the lining of the womb with a view to that stopping at least some of the lining from growing and shedding each month.

It is the non-syrgical alternative to hysterectomy for those wanting to stop their periods.

A hysterectomy or a MEA will do nothing for the rest of the endo elsewhere. That can only be removed with surgery, but at least stopping having periods when you don't need them is a huge relief.

I have a mirena coil inserted to stop mine and it has been marvellous.

I got so much more time for everything not having a monthly hell to go through.

I still have severe endo, but at least not with the added burden of the periods.

I am 45, no kids, just look after everyone elses !!

Id suggest you ask your GP to refer you to a different Gynae. Im 28 and not even started trying for a baby, but my endo specialist consultant agreed yesterday that i could have a hysterectomy! Good Luck X
