Yes I had laser treatment just over 3 years ago. It worked for me short term. I was to have more this February but when I was in theatre the doc discovered I had endo in my Sac of Douglas. He said it was too dangerous to laser it there so unfortunately I woke up disappointed. I am now back on the injections along with the HRT. I much prefer the injections without the HRT. My gyno said he wont prescribe the injections unless I take the HRT so I don't have a choice.

Hi - excision surgery is the better choice generally as laser burns endo off the surface whereas excision removes it from deeper layers. It is a bit like gardening - if you cut weeds down rather than take the root out they are prone to re-emerge. Not all surgeons are skilled enough to do excision. Personally I would ask for a referral to a specialist endo consultant surgeon as they would have been less likely to say removal from the PoD was too dangerous. Perhaps it was just beyond the skill of your particular surgeon. I had endo cleared from PoD with no further probems and it was extensive so it can be done, just not with a laser!

All best wishes x x
