Hi Sammy, this is my second run of Zoladex, I was on it last Nov for 6mths & after the 2nd injection there was a big difference. I came off it in April & sorry for my words (the shit hit the fan) back to killer pain in hip lower back, side & Heavy Staining I saw my Gynae Doc & she put me on Danazol tablets, but they were crap my arms started to swell so I was taken off them, Back to square 1 the Doc & I talked it over & decided that she would put the Mirena Coil in, when she had me under general She also drained my Cyst @ the same time, I started back on the injections for a 2nd time in June. I got the coil put in on july she said by the time the injections are finished the coil will be well working by then. I would recommend you to try the Zoladex, the only But is I noticed that 2nd time round wasn't as good for me. I wish you well & hope to hear what you decide. Look after yourself, & Take-care. I hope what ever you do works. Xx
Heyy hun, am just crippled with pain at the moment because of my period I want to have children in the future that's what am worried about if I go on zoladex can you still have children when you come off it? My oramorph hasn't worked at all and neither has my naproxon
Yes you can still have children after coming off Zoladex. I'm 37 & have no children, & this is why my Doc put the coil in as this will give me 5yrs to see if I would like children as she said all that she would have to do would be remove it. But I have a lot of other health problems ( under active thyroid, coelic & fibromyalgia) so along with the Endo I feel like the odds are not good as all the health probs can make it hard to conceive. Talk it over with your Doc & tell Him or Her that you would some day like children to see what options they offer you. Keep your chin up, there's always a way. Hope your not like me & Can't sleep, i'm on sleeping tabs & they don't work.... Try not to let it get you down as I have been very depressed & am on antidepressants as well as all my other medications. The pain can really get you down, not being able to sleep because of it the mood swings & pain all the time. Some days I hate being a woman...... Hope this Helps & know your not alone..... Xxx
Am on antidepressants too, I have an appointment with my gynaecology consultant on the 21st of August so ill discus with her what will be the best option, I can't sleep atm because of the pain, hoping i just drop off to sleep, the pain gets me down as am fed up being in pain 24/7 its not nice then when you go to hospital with the pain they label you! That's what I will be worried about with the zoladex the mood swings and hot flushes
I have to tell you the Hot Flushes are a pain in the neck so are the mood swings. I will have to get back to you on how I am getting on with the coil in, but if the last few days are to go by it's not great, I have cramp blood staining which I didn't have when I was just on Zoladex, but then again everyone is different. Hope to hear from you after the 21st of August and you can get good advice from your Doc. X
Ive been told about the coil but am not sure on it, I duno weather I would cope with the hot flushes or the mood swings
I get the Hot Flushes because of the Zoladex, I don't know what side affects comes with the coil just yet. The only good way to look @ it is it's coming into Autumn/winter now so may-be the Hot flushes would be a good thing?? GoodLuck any way. But as I said before the 1st time on the injections I really noticed a difference, so I would give it a go..
