Bowel Prep?

Anyone had a bowel prep before exisive lap ?? any advice please?

I've had the dreaded bowel prep today before my op tomorrow and surprisingly it's been ok which worries me a bit as everyone else says they spend most of the day on the loo. Without going into too much detail I've only been 3 times. So I'm either bunged up to the eyeballs and only a stick of dynamite will get rid of it or there wasn't much there in first place. Who knows but I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow. But at the end of the day if they think there's a chance it hasn't worked properly and they want to make sure the bowel is completely empty then they can give an enema on the day.

My only advice is everyone is different so don't go by all the stories you read online. Yeah some people take root to the bathroom for the day but that doesn't mean you will. Drink plenty of fluids and use a barrier cream. Sorry if that's not much help ??

Just a quick update for you lol....bowel prep kicked in properly at 3.30 am but again it was no where near as bad as all the horror stories you hear lol

Hi I did have to have it for my first 2 laps i had but dont seem to have been told to this time maybe i should find out lol x x
