I have just recently be told I have Chronic Fatigue syndrome. When my doctor told me that I thought - I feel like I’ve had it for 30 years!
Reading everyone’s posts is very informative. My huge symptom is fatigue for no apparent reason. Recently I feel like my energy is down. I also have chronic depression and hypothyroidism. Is the depression caused by the cfs or vice versa?
Any insights would be great! Love to hear from you!

Hi! Sorry to hear you have ME/CFS. Sucks, doesn't it?!
In answer to your question about depression, I don't know. Certainly depression can be very fatiguing, but equally always feeling rubbish & not being able to live life how you want is quite depressing! I get through my days by little things I can enjoy - a cat video on the internet will always give me a smile at least once a day. Nice tea & cake (I have to eat & drink after all!) & nice bath stuff - little treats as it were, within the parameters of what I have to use my limited energy for anyway.
Just want to signpost you to some other resources/forums, because this one is not very active.
The ME Association is great (website & also post on facebook/insta. Probably twitter too)
There's a really active group on facebook - M.E / chronic fatigue syndrome UK
Also reddit - r/cfs is a really nice community, although mostly American so some differences in approach to treatment (I'm assuming you're in the UK).
