Hi,

I have been passing water a lot today. Should I be concerned? My GFR at the last blood test was 56.

yes i agree theres not much info from consultants until your virtually on dialysis then you get so much info its too much, my husband is on dialysis but the run up was vague one thing i know is drink more & peeing is good as your kidneys deteriorate your pee gets a lot less!

when the GFR gets below 20 thats when they talk to you to consider your options CAPD or heamo plus you get loads of info on diet electrolites & everything they've never mentioned before plus things you should have done! keeping the blood pressure low also helps prolong the kidneys do the best you can everyone to keep yourselves off dialysis!
