Welcome. Please tell us more what you mean by not being prepared for dialysis? It appears that you need dialysis or a transplant. Do you fear dialysis? Perhaps you can learn more about dialysis from someone here who feels prepared for it. You are young and should have a long life ahead of you.

Hi Mj, I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. Yes, me too, really scared when I think about dialysis. But, as of now my egfr is 27 and my creatinine is 1.7 I'm really worried about that. That's why I'm very careful of what I'm eating now. Low salt or no salt at all, half banana or avocado a day. Low protien, using 2 boiled egg white and rice milk. Little rice, red or brown and sometimes I eat taro or cassava for my carbohydrates. I think we are what we eat, we should decipline ourselves, don't abused. No softdrinks, no alcohol, no sweet fruit juices especialy oranges. Take more vegie and fish in moderate amount, I drink good enough water. You're to young anak for what happen to you. Just trust to the Lord coz nothing is impossible to Him and I 'll pray for you. Much love and have a blessed day. Compassionately yours...amy51.

Hi MaryJoy...A Blessed Christmas to you and your family. I'm sorry for my delayed response, but it doesn't mean that I forgot you coz you're always in my thoughts and prayers. Actually, I offered and finished the 9 days of Simbang gabi for you and to all of us who are suffering from kidney desease. I intrust everything to the hands of our creator. He's our destiny and He knows what's best on us. As a human being I'm very compassionate to your situation. Before I'm also very depressed but sa madaling sabi natoto nrin ako mg accept ng God's will and thy will be done. I know we are only pilgrimage here on earth. The most important things is to be ready when He calls us. Try to forgive and to reconciled with the Lord. Look for a priest if you're Catholic ask for spiritual help thats the best thing that we can do before facing our Lord. He suffered for us too, so when we are suffering here on earth it means that we unite in His pain and sufferings and died for us. So its only our body that will die and our souls will live forever with Him coz He's our destiny. Thanks MJ...take care coz God loves us. We love you very much. Much love from Jesus and Mama Mary. God bless us. Amy51

Hi Mary, it's not really a choice one makes. I cried after the first time I had dialysis, that was when I was 17.

Dear MJ, Dr kitty and Dr Shirlielee are two proficient nephrologists in China. If you can get in touch with them, I think they can help you.

I think if you put your belief in God, rather than the kidney doctors, you'll be meeting him much sooner than you thought.Sure, it's good to have your religious beliefs, but you need proper medical treatment.I am gfr 11 and if it's a choice between seeing a priest or a nephrologist, the kidney guy gets it every time.

If you don't put your faith in God, it scares me to think where you'll be. Whether God sees fit to keep improving my illness or decides it's time for me to go, he'll be right by my side. I'm not saying don't go to doctors but they can only do so much. God can do anything.

hi. i also am from the Philippines. we have the same age 27 female. I also was diagnosed with kidney disease 5 years ago i was 21 yrs old then.. The doctor was not that much concerned about me having that disease. so i go on with my life living normally like everybody else but at an early age my bp was already high. just a month ago i went back to the hospital do som lab test bcoz my bp would go up to 160/100. i had my recent result with creatinine 1.64, BUN 14, urine protein 210. my doctor again was not that much concerned as usual. however he told me that im already at stage 4 but not telling me what maly kidney function is. I just got so frustrated with this doctor, seems like he doesnt want to help at all. ive been experiencing symptoms already like sleepiness and tired all the time. But ive been watching my diet , i also exercise everday and took soda bicarb as per the doctor's perscription. i have to go to another doctor for 2nd opinion. And ofcourse above all this, the Lord has been with me through this battle. Just always put your faith and trust in the Lord that everything will be better in time. Just help yourself and God will do the rest. Prayers can move mountains. God bless us all
