My function dropped to 11% recently after falling Ill. The doctors managed to rise my function back to 19% but what happens now, how will this have affected my kidney function.

I think they will just watch you now buryboy. My function dropped and went back up and my treatment/tablets not changed at all, just still go to renal clinic and they keep an eye on me.

Obviously being ill affected your function, but hopefully you will stay at 19% for a while now (same as me) :D

Good to hear the Docs have got you back on course again . We are all different but diet will help , it took 4 and a half years for my levels to drop from 19% to 8%, Just make the most of life and dont let the illness rule your life, Just stick to a good diet using guidelines from the clinics dietician and keep up with regular exercise even if it is just walking.
