Falling eGFR?

Hi,

I wanted to ask about falling eGFR and wondering if I should be asking my GP for help with kidney health or early kidney issues? I have a falling eGFR from 91 a few years back, to mid 80s and now 76. My latest tests were: Serum sodium 142 mmol/L,Serum potassium 3.8,Serum creatinine 78,! eGFRcreat (CKD-EPI)/1.73 m*2.     76 mmol/L umol/L mL/min. I felt really unwell when the tests were taken so wondering if this is possibly indicative?

An eGFR of 76 will not make you feel unwell.

My egfr is 50 and I am 54 years old and have no symptoms. I do not think your egfr would cause symptoms so I guess you are asking if the fact that you did not feel well could have made the test show egfr as lower? If that is the question my guess (not a doctor) would be yes since dehydration does go hand in hand with sicknesses and/or diarrhea, and dehydration can lower your number temporarily.
