Hydroxychloroquine

I’m just wondering if any of you are taking Hydroxy for Covid19... I see Trump saying he has taken it. Being from South Africa I’ve taken it when visiting malaria areas like Botswana and Kenya. Never had any bad side effects from this. I must say I don’t intend to take it for Covid19.

There is only one reply to this - if Trump is taking or recommending something, don't even think about taking it.

Is that Covid 19 the drug has worked for? I think not, so get your facts correct before you accuse someone of being a moron. I also think the moron is the one in a position of enormous influence, who is advising people to take a drug for which there is no scientific or medical evidence.

Hi Dave. So pleased to hear you are NOT taking this drug. It has not been approved for use in Covid. End of.

There are at least two forms of this drug. The version they are giving to Covid in the hospital is given through IV, not the pill version that people take for malaria, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus with a prescription.

Ok, not to sound disrespectful to the POTUS, I don't believe one thing he says, and I would lie in front of a train before I took something he says is safe.

Dave,

The reasons that you were given this medication were far different than Donald Trump as you were in areas which malaria is present and this is a drug which treats malaria. Additionally, apparently your doctor felt that it would be beneficial to you.

Remember that Donald Trump is NOT a doctor and has no medical credentials or expertise. A politician is not qualified to make medical recommendations of any kind.

If he chooses to take this drug and his personal physicians approve for the reasons that he wishes it is their decision.

Please take care of yourself by following medical guidelines and stay safe in these uncertain times.
