I am posting this because regrettably we have had to remove a recent post that implied the members should read and purchase a book that the member had launched and published. Whilst we are pleased at her success it is not within the community guidelines to point members to the website and encourage them to purchase the book, should the members wish to do so.

We have contacted the member with this information, wishing her all the best in her endeavours and for the future.

Best wishes,

MAS Nurse & Moderator.

MAS_Nurse, I read this member’s post before you removed it and I feel to do so may be to do this person a disservice. I have met this member and found the person amazingly inspirational, having been through the whole gamut of kidney disease and life-saving treatments most of their lifetime and still working and smiling whilst at the same time helping others. Yes, perhaps the post could have been worded a little differently to comply with community guidelines but nonetheless a very inspiring and very worthy member of this forum.

Hi Celtic,

I too read her post and actually went to her site to look at the information. I did not have time to read the information then but was interested in her story.

Perhaps, without making it about selling her book, we could at least get the link to her site if we are interested in finding out more.

But I agree to not having anyone trying to sell products whether it is a book or products.

Thank you for your input. Quoting the link to her site would be a good idea so that members at least had the choice to look it up if interested.

Maybe it is okay to post in her profile page or I'm not sure what we call it here... if so that would be beneficial. If not, :-( Thanks :-)

Thank you, CatOnACloud - good suggestion, and yes, for those who wish, it is possible to check on any member’s profile by just clicking on the member’s forum name at the top of their post.....only in this case the post in question has been removed so not possible to now look at their profile.

Well I for one would’ve liked to have seen it. Everything is worth investigating to me. Now I guess I never will. If whoever wrote it reads this please message me with information. Thanks

Hi,

I think the reason your post was removed was because you were pushing your book. I agree, this is not the place for people to sell products. But, I am interested in your message as are others so I think that the link to your site would be beneficial.

And since I am not selling you book, I will post it. I hope MAS Nurse this is ok.

It was my post. What I will do is repost with the podcast where members can listen to the first chapter for free. Best, Ciara
