Diet and early ckd

I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. For the last few months I have had huge stress in my life.

An OT and dietitian saw me and recommended using microwave meals as due to lack of concentration and memory I was putting myself at risk of fire and undercooked food. I have also been prescribed 1 energy drink per day as my weight had dropped to 48 kg. I’m 5 foot three tall.

Help with kidney healthy diet please ?

The healthy diet depends on what stage of ckd you are at. If not on dialysis, then drink lots of water and try to avoid meals which are too high in salt. I understand this is difficult when using microwave meals, but your safety is the most important thing right now so continue with those. Try to add fresh fruit and vegetables when you can. I don't know what energy drinks you are using, but things like fortisip are nutritionally balanced and safe for people with kidney disease. It may be worth asking your dietician. Take care.
