Well diet seems to be paying off as latest seirum creatinine is 0.9 giving me a GFR using the Davita calculator of 86! Just shows how you've got to look after your diet.

I basically have been living that lifestyle for a long, long time and that is where my frustration was. My Doctor wanted a scan of my kidney. It is swollen, next step is kidney CAT, then go over results, than a possible something else. I definitely have discomfort so we shall see if a stone or whatever has caused me issues on gfr

Fantastic! That is great news. What type of CKD do you have? Do they know what caused it? Have you had a biopsy?

Had op for cancer lower intestine after was month in coma and two months intensive care with resultant organ failure. For two years they claimed it was internal hemorroides went to have them lazered the surgeon gave me the good news. have COPD. UIP and now fibrosis. All they have told me is the kidney is at stage 3b. And at 33% I go on dialysis. I don't ask what type as I am a bit paranoid as you can imagine! Exercise and diet

Yowza! You've been through a lot! Um, yeah, I'd be paranoid too, but sounds like you are quite the fighter and survivor! I'm really glad the diet is working for you and you are taking action to take care of yourself.

Sending blessings and healing thoughts your way.

This is so true. My levels on last test showed level improved. I go back this month for further tests. Diet and prescribed exercise helps me greatly. At times diet can be frustrating but it pays off.
