I'm confused though because my creatinine level is normal. My blood pressure up a bit (118/90) & my B12 level very high. Seeing Dr next wk for clarification. After some tears, I decided to make big diet changes. Last few days my body has been in a kind of detox, felt really crappy. Coming out the other side now, feeling better overall. Regardless of outcome, I have made positive, heartfelt decision to care for, respect my body the way it deserves to be. Thanks for listening.

Initial tests show stage 3A
Saw my Dr, she gave no reason for reading of 58 & supports my healthy diet (little sodium, phosphorous, potassium, alcohol & no anti-inflammatories, more fruits, veggies, less protein - chicken, fish only, etc. I also clarified what supplements I can continue taking (forget the B vit, but ok for Omega 3 & Mag/Cal). I'm being monitored & retested in 3 months. I'm, newly retired & transitioning to a new, improved, healthier lifestyle!
Hello Soozer
Could you tell me why no B vitamins?
Hi, I had a high B12 level a yr ago & Dr told me to cut back. I was taking a B complex only once per week (10mcg B12) this last yr & my B12 level still high. I remember reading recently there is a connection between high B12 & renal functioning. Need to do more research.
You may have a methylation issue and cannot process B vitamins correctly, especially folic acid and it builds up in the body....is added to many processed foods. There are special methylated B vitamins, still be careful. You can be tested by 23 and me for the DNA mutation called MTHFR
Thanks for that. Lucky I read your post as I was thinking about taking B complex and had no idea about the connection. I'll do research!
