sodium bicarb/apple cider vinegar
My husband was prescribed bicarb tablets for a while they neutralize the acid don't try it though unless you have been told you can do!
hi phillen. appreciate ur response.. at what stage did ur husband took sodium bicarb? does it have any improvement on his kidney function? thanks
He was stage 4 already heading to stage 5 & took it for about 3 months unfortunately he was then on dialysis after that so was taken off them as the dialysis provides it apparently! in his case he went down hill quickly after about 15 years or so in stage 3 everyone is different he was just unfortunate!
I have stage 4 and am doing both. I am doing a lot of different things tho so can't say for sure if it's a result of these 2 specific things. I took baking soda before I saw nephrologist and he prescribed sodium bicarbonate. As for apple cider vinegar, I use brags organic, supposed to make body more alkaline which works for me because I have PKD. Hope this helps. God bless!
i have hyperuricemia and gout...tried apple cider ..but no use
thank you all for your response.. i also tried both. drink apple cider 1st thing in the morning. then sodium bicarb before meals for lunch and dinner.. i have to go back to the doctor by june so im not really sure yet if its helping my condition but as of my symptoms sleepiness is one of the hardest. im not sure as well if im still at stage 3 or stage 4 as the doctor didnt tell me what my kidney funtion is. all i know is that my creatinine level is at 1.64.. hope everything works positively. prayers too is so powerful. lets all have faith.
i have not been diagnosed...and i didn't find out till i saw my lab results online...my gp didn't say anything it wasn't till i went to see another doctor...he posted on my chart online that it said poor kidney function...i was really kind of upset...but i have been researching ckd 3 b and looking at comments online...so i feel somewhat better about it...i had to call my gp today to refer me to a kidney doctor...that equally ticks me off...ha..but i have changed the way i have been eating...no salt...no caffeine...no animal protein...low phosphorous/potassium fruits and vegetables...at least 4 bottles a day water...16.09 fl ozes....taking my bp and diabetic meds even though all that has come down considerably big time...no refined sugar...no chocolate....walking my dog everyday around the block...before i started all of this...i was so tired...moody...would go to sleep in the afternoon or earlier and i wouldn't wake up till 3 or 4am...i have werid hours...extremely high bp and bs.......now two weeks later...i have lost 13 pounds...my blood pressures and blood sugars are in almost normal range...i have a surprisingly large amount of energy...and i have become a clear headed sweet person with a mission...and that mission is bring my gfr levels up...its 35.12 now...when i did research i saw information about bicarb soda...it said not to use the kind you buy in the store..like arm and hammer...but to use bob red mill...but i think i will wait to try it after i see my k doc...and i have used organic braggs avc....its some really good stuff for colds...i am glad i found this site...it is giving me the confidence not to think it might be the end of my world... but i haven't forgiven the doctors..ha..
Hi I have recently found out that my kidney function has declined from the results of my labs in May. My appt is finally near 06/20 to see a nephrologist. What bothers me is why is there a stage 1&2 CKD when doctors dont say anything until your blood work results are showing possibly stage 3 ckd. I thought the key was catching diseases at an early stage for better outcomes. I pray things will go well for you. Thanks for sharing
melissa...thank you for your support...i wish the same for you...i have seen 3 doctors in the past 10 months...and no one told me anything...i had to find it on the internet..sick..huh? i have been looking at duncan galarowicz videos on youtube...he promotes stuff which i am not interested in but the small presentations he makes about different things about kidney disease is so helpful...its like going to kidney school...ha..he shows documentation of where he found the info...like i said i don't know anything about his products and i really don't concentrate on that...but the videos are good sources...
You're right..crazy, and I feel that is so wrong to not give someone a heads up on something that's so serious. I will keep you posted and thanks I'm definately going to check out those videos for info. I have been doing a lot of googling and watching videos on youtube. Thanks for your response dear❤
