Anyone have anemia? My RBCs are low and the levels don't seem to be coming up. My BP seems to be well managed at or below 120/80. I am at stage 3 with GFR at 65. I think it is affecting my heart beat and I am feeling so so tired some days and can't sleep is the worst symptom. What can be done?

I was borderline low of vitamin B12. I took a suppliment which raised my level. I think anemia does happen with some kidney patients. I am at stage 3 [ 40% ] However if your RBCs are low then your Dr. should advice you before you start any suppliments.

I found the pernicious anemia site very informative.

I actually had to have a blood transfusion. but never felt better after that. then they hit me with 1000mg prednisone for a few days in hospital. im down to 40 mg daily now and weaning slowly. I started the Plaquenil a month ago and excited to see how that goes.
