Hi there. I was first dx with ocular Myasthenia and now they think because of the eye spasms it may well be Dystonia. I was negative for all OMG tests including blood tests.

I am finding if I go into bright sunlight my eyes close and I can’t re open them for a while even if I then go to a darker place. Does anyone else get this? Also if I have both eyes open and then cover one eye but not shut it the other uncovered eye closes without me closing it. When I remove my hand both eyes are semi closed.

No neurologist or opthalmologist I have seen has seen this happen before.

I definitely have a problem with bright light, flashing lights, even the sun coming through the trees in Fall. My left eye closes after an Episode and out of nowhere other times briefly.

my eyes don't completely close. when I walk into sunlight, my eyes slit involuntarily and I have to cover them before they open all the way (which I never realised until I read your post). it comes with a lot of discomfort, floaters, and flashing lights. I don't have any suggestions other than avoiding as much as possible (which I do) and sunglasses.
