Hi everyone. I am a little confused as I had a diabetes test and it came back that I don’t have diabetes. But, the last few months I’ve been getting these episodes of shakiness when I start getting hungry, I’ve had my blood sugars checked at those times and they were in normal range! Now I’m left confused as I’m not sure what is causing it

Lauren, the symptoms you describe are a long way from being specific to diabetes. Have you been tested for thyroid and vitamin deficiencies?
I thought my blood sugars could of been low but when I get them checked they are usually around 4.7 which is normal apparently! No, not for a while I haven’t, but I did earlier this year. x
Lauren you need to take a deep breath. Your anxiety levels are starting to get in the way of communicating effectively.
To repeat - low blood sugar is far from being the only thing that could cause the symptom you mention - anxiety could actually cause it - so could dehyddration as well as thyroid problems and vitamin/mineral deficiencies (and they can also cause you to be more susceptible to anxiety).
It really doesn't look as if blood sugars are an issue and fixating on them isn't helping you right now.
Have you spoken to your GP about things and had any investigation for other things that might explain the symptoms you do have?
I have severe anxiety so these symptoms don’t help
I have the doctors Monday so I am going to ask for some more tests
do you have a friend of family member that you could take with you to the appointment. This could help with communication if you are very anxious. They might also be able to help you put together a list of things to discuss with the doctor and put it into a logical order that could help the appointment run much smoother.
hope that the appointment goes well
What have you been doing when you went low? Can you imagine being a Marathon runner? A boxer? The blood sugar goes low if you have not eaten for the last few hours. This might be a problem. Good luck.
A Freestyle Libre would give you excellent readings to show your Dr. what is happening. 24hr. blood testing inc what your bg is on a night. My bg goes down when stressed & even when playing computer games. A Libre is expensive, but gives graphs of your bg. Good luck & keep asking.
