As far as I am aware DLA was NOT counted in income when housing and council tax were worked out being disregarded benefits. I will check for you though as there may have been changes, but if so they have slipped under the radar.

Hi woodentops, I've not heard this reason you state in your post. Being on DLA has nothing to do with the housing and council tax benefits. ESA yes that could effort your benefit if any changes occured, but I can't understand why they have stopped yours? Get onto citizen advice bureau for some advice. Good luck, peakyblinders.

I recently went to the council for help getting on the housing list. They told me the new PIP, which replaced DLA was considered as a benefit. However, when I tried to get help at the dentist they said it wasn't a benefit. I too am confused by this.
