Exactly a year since my stroke, I have woken with both feet feeling quite numb. I am due to go away today for 24 hours - do I just battle on? My gut reaction is just to keep going............
Feet!: Exactly a year since my stroke, I... - Different Strokes
Feet!
From me, I would do just that, battle on. I want to add more, but you're short on time.
Seems to me that either your body has exceptional timing or your subconscious has your finger on the pulse... I'll leave it to you to work out which.
Snap- it's my stroke anniversary today. Going away tomorrow for the night.... Hope it passes off OK for us both... Just keep battling on and hope for slow, steady improvements
Are you on hols?
We are the stroke survivors. We do the best that we can and try our hardest not to give in. Unless you've had a stroke you don't really understand. In the past week I've had my ex-work mates say that I don't look any different and, my dentist saying; "... but both of your eyes move together" (I'm now blind on one side after the stroke). So we need to help others whether they've had a stroke or are carers for people who have and, explain to people at large that their perceptions of people who've had a stroke may be misplaced.
So Catherine, good on you! Battle on; keep well and may we all do the same!
