There are several symptoms and all may not manifest in everybody. For me it was long lasting throat infection that prompted my doctor to ask me to check the sugar level. It may be other other infections not healing fast enough or frequent boils etc. It may also be loss of weight or frequent urge to urinate or too much of thirst etc. Instead of worrying about it it is always better to get it checked. And after 30/35 I think it should be a part of routine annual check-up.

I presume you have asked for symptom for diabetes. Too much thirst, restlessness, Craving for more food ,even though you are full by stomach,Weakness ., burning sensation all over body, sleepy but can not sleep, laziness,drowsiness wounds not healing tingling in foot muscles etc.Known family history of diabetes shall get them selves checked from the age of 40 it self or 45 for sure.
