Is anybody suffering from diabetic wounds and foot ulcers which is not healing?

suganyas, during the month of October, 2012 while cooking my food in a standing position, the "chimta" fell on one of my feet. I didnt notice at that time that there was an injury. i simply washed the foot with plain water. Next morning I noticed that blood was coming out while walking. An ATS injection was given immediately and antibiotic was started. I was also advised to do compress of the area and do dressing. After 3 days the doctor said that the wound needs to be drained of puss. After the procedure the antibiotic was changed and I had to do the dressing every 24 hours. The antibiotic was again changed by the doctor and finally the wound was healed in January 2013. However, in the mean time a small corn which was already there in the same foot grew very fast and now I am advised to remove it by surgery. The doctor says this has to be done under GA as it may be very painful procedure. I am not sure how long this will take to heal. The doctor says it will take at least 15 days.
