Because in the beginning of the day the body secretes most of the hormones..to prepare the itself for the day. Among these hormones is gluco corticoids which raises morning sugars...this phenomenon is often called as "Rebound Sugars " or "Dawn Phenomena". In order to control this we need to have long acting insulin administered in order to avoid fluctuations.

Your fbs is almost normal, but ppbs is slightly higher.try to control it.target it for below 160.if u r taking regular insulin before meal then u can increase 2 units to control.or you can control it by reducing amt.of food slightly.

In normal person, ppbs is higher than fbs.if ur fbs is higher then it may be due to insufficient insulin availability throughout the night.if you r taking regular insulin at night then switch over to middle act after consulting ur doctor.

I am not diabetic and my fbs is 108 while ppbs is 95. what could be the reasons?

How frequently is you FBS in that range. If it is consistent then it should not be ignored. For a non-diabetic person FBS is always < 90.
