skin peeling
Dry skin or wet with blood marks?
Diabetes can cause the skin of your foot to become very dry, which causes peeling and cracking. This happens because the nerves that control the oil and moisture in your foot no longer work. Stock up on supplies! After bathing, dry your feet and rub any oil or cream products that work to relieve dryness.
THANK U I M CONFUSED ON THE PRESCRIBED CONTROL LEVELS FOR PEOPLE ABOVE 60 SOME SAY H2IBC UPTO 7.5 IS NORMAL
Do you mean HbA1c ?
The following are the results when A1C is being used to diagnose diabetes:
Normal (no diabetes): Less than 5.7%
Pre-diabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%
Diabetes: 6.5% or higher
If you have diabetes, you and your provider will discuss the correct range for you. For many people, the goal is to keep the level below 7%.
Have you talked to your doctor about the issue? Does it burn on the bottom of the foot? Can you please check with your doctor and ask them if you may have athletes foot?
Do you have itching also ?
Before you go to bed , Deep your feet for 15-20 mnts daily in a bucket of warm saline water....be careful to ensure water at max 40 degree C.... you can have a thermometer if you want... Diabetics are not supposed to use very hot water on feet....
After that apply a medicated moisturiser before sleep available.... Such as Cotaryl....
If the conditions don't improve , consult a skin specialist to check if you have developed a condition called psoriasis, which is common with diabetes ...
