Not only red meat , but other meats also are not good unless taken very sparingly like once in a week . When people are on metformin they think meat helps in maintaining B12 levels . It could be true to a certain extent . But commercialisation has contaminated meat with antibiotics , growth hormones , steroids etc depending upon the need . In the good olden days the case was different where the animals were gross fed , were not exposed to antibiotics and growth hormones and meat was very safe to consume ..

This is true along with all the other toxicity that we are exposed to, so are most animals. Therefore, we are intoxicating ourselves doubly.

Not only that , even use of B vitamins like B6 , B12 are found to be causing depression and anxiety as per a new research finding . Thus every thing boils down to one thing --- that is intake of food should be very moderate in all respects including vitamins & supplements

I was reading a review where one T2 was not able to control his blood sugar by all the efforts that he was making.

Then came his Ramzan fasting where he was to fast for a month from 6 am to 6 pm.

To his utter surprise , he found his fasting and pp was within non diabetic range!

The key to control blood sugar is to eat everything in moderation. Exercise regularly , take LCHF diet . Minimise supplements and medicines as far as possible !

yes , since it is a disorder and not a disease reduction of food intake it self brings the sugar levels to normalcy with out any supplements ,medicines &vitamins . Not only lchf , any food in moderation achieves that goal . It is only a question of time . But LCHF makes them not to feel hungry for longtime so many people prefer LCHF
