In the past there were many such much acclaimed Ayurvedic drugs even advertised that these were approved by CSIR after clinical trial. Examples are BGR34 and IME which never took off. I can see Amazon reviews on these drugs are not so good .

The problem with Ayurvedic drugs are it's consistency in its effectiveness which is basically due to the fact that herbs being grown under different soils, climates and seasons give different properties. Moreover gradually the soil where the herbs are grown also loses its minerals/nutrients due to aging.
