Take due care about the food we take which includes balanced diet. More use of vegetables and fruits. Regular use of Medicines prescribed by a qualified doctor. Health check up after a certain period of time say at least four times in a year i.e. quarterly. And the most important live active life, have brisk walk, do not be lethargic. keep moving. Take a lot of plain water. Avoid fatty food, sweets, alcohol etc. Try to keep yourself engaged and keep meeting and talk to people around you. Do not forget meditation that is the best engagement.
Think healthy live healthy do not be disheartened what ever the circumstance that is the mantra.
Approach to keep blood sugar in the normal range will vary from person to person depending on individual's conditions. For a large number of type 2D, following approach has been quite helpful in controlling blood sugar:
1. Limiting consumption of Carbohydrate including simple, complex and pure sugar to one's tolerance level.
2. Limiting consumption of protein to moderate levels as per individual's physical activities levels.
3 Rest of the energy should be derived from healthy fat.
4. Must include enough low carb vegetables and enough dietary fibre( > 30 gm).
5. Physical exercise as per one's capacity.
6. Stress free life style and enough sleep( 8 hrs).
If one's BS is not in control using the above, one should consult Doctor and consider medications also.
