Moderation is the key,in my view.Nothing should be too low or too high in any given diet, unless it is medically warranted, like in type 1 diabetes.

I do agree with you.

I'm not a Type 1 and hence only share some knowledge I have gathered. By extreme diet, I meant was vis-a-vis diet of a normal person and a Type 2 diabetic. While no restrictions are placed on a normal person with regard to carbohydrate intake, a Type 2 should moderate carbohydrate consumption and go for low glycemic foods so as to maintain blood sugar levels within range. In the case of Type 1, to my knowledge, carbohydrates should be kept at least minimum levels and I feel it is an extreme diet from the point of view of a normal person.

Hope this helps. :-)

Processed foods , sugar , eating excess, sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise are the things which made us diabetic.

It is a curse of nature for our deeds.

Nature has written our fate and now follow the rules until death.

That's what happens with the unrestricted life.

Everytime i thought, why I was chosen, but now I am getting the answer.

I fully agree. Concept of 'mitahara' is good for all, whether or not susceptible to diabetes.

I believe each diabetic should do whatever it takes to avoid the complications even disagree with their doctor who tends to give us some advice and medical interventions based on the current guidelines. For example, if my A1C is 7% - 8% my doctor will probably not concern with my blood sugar control based on the new A1C target. Should I be happy with the result & doctor's advice? I guess not 🤔
