What is the exact dose of fresh karela juice to be taken on an empty stomach each morning for a prediabetic?

I do not think there is any standard prescribed dose. One has to try and see what works. 90 ml sounds too much. One or two tablespoon should be enough, I suppose. My personal experience has not been very encouraging. I tried fresh Karela juice as well karela powder available at Ayurvedic shops. It did not make any difference to my blood sugar level. For some people it works wonder. Still I do include karela in my diet as a fried item.

Has your friend been to see their doctor about starting the juice? Depending on what's in it, it could interfere with their medications (if they are on any).

I don't think Karella / bitter gourd, its juice or powder has any effect on bs. But please share if you have any scientific information on that subject.

It is possible Ashka9 as Ayurveda says one of the quality of Karela is 'deepana'=increase hunger.

At the same time we must remember that is as per Ayurveda it reduces vitiated pitta and kafa doshas.

And therefore if diabetes is due to vitiated pitta and kafa dosha only then Karela juice will be helpful
