Welcome to the group. First of all stop worrying, that will not help you in any way. What do you mean by 'initial Diabetic'. What are the test results for your blood sugar?

Total sugar test, fasting & after breakfast test was done. Even Urine test was done!

Thanks.

You should let us know the results. For example:

What was your Fasting sugar level, and post-meal(break-fast) sugar level?

A1C is another sugar number which gives an average value of previous three months.

Post Break Fast - 200

Your body mass index is 26.1 and you are overweight.

A weight-control strategy might include :--

* Choosing low-fat, low-calorie foods

* Eating smaller portions

* Drinking water instead of sugary drinks

* Being physically active

For fasting blood sugar up to 125 and post-meal blood sugar up to 199 are considered pre-diabetic according to norms. You are lucky to have discovered your condition at an early stage.You can take care of it without medication if you are willing.

You are still overweight for your height. Losing weight up to 5kg gradually will be helpful. Diet and some exercise are key to managing blood sugar levels within healthy limits.

Way forward:

1. Acquire knowledge of this disorder. It will give you the power to manage it effectively.

2. Take care of your diet. Learn about LCHF diet as suggested by Champak. in general, avoid sugary stuff altogether including fruits, rice, sugary breakfast cereal etc. Are you Vegetarian or non-vegetarian?

3. Do some exercise. Simple walking for one hr daily is also a good exercise.

4. Avoid drinking sugary drinks and Beer.

5. Equally important, avoid stress as far as possible and sleep well (8hrs).

6. Buy a Blood Glucose meter for self-monitoring. It would be one of the best investments.

Everything will be fine.

Check your blood sugar (FBS or PPBS) daily. Then you will know which food is causing hyperglycemia. Adopt low carbohydrate diet.

A diabetes diet is a healthy-eating plan that's naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories. Key elements are fruits, vegetables and whole grains. In fact, a diabetes diet is the best eating plan for most everyone.

A1c- The blood test that can give you a picture of what your blood sugars had been for the last 3-6 months. A doctor has to write up a prescription/request for a lab to do the test. I hope this helps, KIRANA2MA .
