Taper your dosage based on doctors recommendation. The responses need to be monitored periodically and for a period depending on half life of the medication itself and a knowledgeable doctor should be able to monitor and guide you on an appropriate plan of action.

The present blood glucose level is good. But you should bear in mind that this present condition is achieved not by diet and exercise alone but by anti-glycemic medications. If you stop the medication, you should have to pay more attention over low-carbohydrate diet and aerobic exercise. Otherwise your blood sugar level may shoot upwards and it is even more difficult to become normal again. Other benefits of antiglycemic medications include reducing overweight and preventing cardiovascular diseases.
